Prevalence of Tuberculosis and Its Predictors: A Cross-Sectional Study in High-Risk Communities
Keywords:

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a significant public health burden in Indonesia, particularly in socioeconomically disadvantaged communities. This cross-sectional study surveyed 1,200 residents in high-risk sub-districts. TB prevalence was 2.4%, with higher rates among smokers and those with crowded living conditions. Multivariate analysis revealed that undernutrition (OR=3.3), smoking (OR=2.8), and close contact with TB patients (OR=4.1) were key predictors. Community-based interventions focusing on nutrition and infection control are urgently needed to reduce transmission.
